What are your Donations used for?
We have made many donations since December 2000 and have had requests from every State/Territory of Australia and have donated to all except South Australia and the Northern Territory.

This fact always reminds us of the need if it is possible for our Charity to expand.

Examples of our Donations include:
  • Money to local Carers
  • An Ambulance for Help for Wildlife.
  • Funds to save the New Holland Mouse and the Fresh Water Turtle.
  • Friends of the Helmeted Honeyeater
  • Healesville Environmental Watch.
However our main commitment is to buying Reserves for Wildlife.

We were pleased to buy a part of the Charles Darwin Reserve in Western Australia and to provide $250,000 to Australian Bush Heritage to purchase and manage the Judith Eardley save Wildlife Reserve at Wedderburn, Central Victoria.
This Reserve contains Flora and Fauna existent prior to White settlement.
Currently only 7 percent of the original vegetation survives in Victoria.

Recently we bought a 50 acre Reserve adjacent to the Yellingbo Reserve crucial for the survival of the Helmeted Honeyeater, to acquire this Reserve we paid $325,000.

Within our Volunteers and Board a priority policy for buying significant Reserves for Wildlife has developed.

Giving
We of course ask on behalf of Wildlife that people give only what they are comfortable with.
With the Linking of Many Hands, we produce a wonderful result.

Judith Eardley Reserve, Vic – purchased 2004
Located in central Victoria, this 342 ha reserve adjoins and significantly augments a large government reserve. It protects rare, elevated grassy woodlands that are poorly represented on the adjacent land. A suite of declining woodland birds including the hooded robin, brown treecreeper and diamond firetail occur at Judith Eardley Reserve in exceptional numbers. It contributes to the protection of three significant communities and five species at risk.
